.45 HST vs Critical Duty Photos

Just a neat picture I took for myself. Look how similar the expanded HST is to the picture on the box. Remarkably consistent.

Here's a still picture of the back of the first cut I made in the gel. Right in the middle of the primary expansion cavity. Really lets you see the difference in damage. The HST shot is in the middle and it's probably almost 50% larger than the damage caused by either Crit Duty bullet.


Here's a picture front to back of each cut that we put in the gel.



The 3 dug out bullets sitting on the gel. Super consistent from 1 to the next with the CDs, but again shows the size difference that impressed me so much.



One thing that struck me looking at the bullets was just how much more of the HST went into expansion. You can see how much more cylindrical base is left on the CD. Very surprised between this fact and the added velocity from the +P that the penetration depth variance between the 2 loads wasn't more extreme.
